Higher education in Ukraine traces back to the late 6th century. In 1576, the Ostroh Academy was established and Academy has become one of the first universities founded in Central and Eastern Europe. Presently there are more than 900 higher education institutions of state (public) and private type of ownership in Ukraine.

Among the most prestigious institutions there are the Kharkiv National Medical University, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Kyiv Medical University of UAFM and National Medical University n.a. O.O. Bogomolets, Kharkiv University of Air Force, National Technical University KPI, Kharkiv National University of Radio-Electronics.

International students started to study in Ukraine since 1990-ies. Totally more than 50 000 international students got their degree in Ukraine, acknowledged worldwide, which made them high demanded professionals in different countries of the world.

Applicants are free to choose the courses offered for international students in Medical, Engineering or Economics majors.

The application of international students are opened from March to November and must be followed with email request and documents attached (passport and education certificates). All the international students must get their student visa at the Embassy of Ukraine in order to enter Ukraine and complete admission at the University.
